Collaborative Robots
What is a collaborative Robot? (Cobot)
Collaborative Robots are like industrial robots designed for safe operation alongside humans.
These Cobots can be used to automate repetitive processes (+-0.05 repeatability for Doosan M1013) without the need of safety barriers taking up floor space.
Cobots typically allow payloads up to 20Kg, with force sensing to detect collisions, where in the event that a collision occurs the arm will lock up into a Safety Stop. Doosan Cobots are typically set to travel no more than 400mm/s, however can travel up to 1m/s if safety precautions are in place.
Whats my experience?
Repairs
Sometimes a robot can get damaged from sources outside of its intended operation.
My electronics experience has benefited Diverseco, and their clients, by expediting the repair process, with confidence in the quality of work.
Programming
The Doosan Reference Language (DRL), much like many other robot programming languages, is python based.
With heavy practice in DRL and Python programming over the last 2 years, prototyping bespoke, complex functions for robot operation is done quickly.
Training
I have the opportunity to operate Doosan Cobots at my leisure. Cultivating experiences and knowledge, that often wouldn't be reached by those working towards the quickest working solution.
These experiences prove well-suited to transferring knowledge on recommended practices, robot limitations and options for unique functionality.
What applications have I programmed?
Aside from wine pouring..
Force controlled drilling (waiting on final validation)
OnRobot Eyes Integrations
Workcell validation
The system visually verifies the presence of uniquely labelled trolleys, that are required for the task.
Tray picking
Instead of components being placed into jigging/racks for assembly, the OnRobot eyes can be used to pick up objects splayed out on a tray.
